ICA is blowing up!

The last year has been very productive for the Idyllwild Climbers Alliance- there has been a concerted effort to bolster elements of the infrastructure of the organization to enhance the mission of climber advocacy and stewardship of these wonderful areas.
Examples:
- Development of identity materials: logo and and other branding elements
- Establishing IRS 501 (c) (3) status
- Technology structure (Google Workspace)
- Reinforcing and building key relationships: Access Fund, American Safe Climbing Association, sponsors, land managers
- Website development: www.idyllwildclimbers.org
The ICA has a website!
The Idyllwild Climbers Alliance now has a website, with lots of great content, and will serve as the informational hub for ICA operations. Some of the content includes:
- Lots of beta about climbing in the San Jacinto Mountains
- Historical background on climbing at Tahquitz and Suicide Rocks (written by Bob Gaines)
- Fantastic imagery from Kevin Powell, Greg Epperson and Bob Gaines
- Resources for trip planning
- How to become involved with the ICA
- Donation portal (always critical!)
- Updates and upcoming events
- Photo gallery of past events
And so much more! Check it out, and share it with others…
2025 Trails Clean Up
The annual Trails Clean Up event (aka Climbers Festival) was nicely attended this year, with great work remove the many windfall trees that came down across the Tahquitz North Gully approach, and the Suicide Climbers Trail.

So much more to do! Join us and get involved with helping to protect and preserve this amazing climbing place…
