The Idyllwild Climbers Alliance was formed in 2008 with the interest of climber advocacy and stewardship in the San Jacinto Mountains, especially Tahquitz and Suicide Rocks.

This advocacy took the form of yearly and informal climber trail projects, and maintaining good relations with the San Jacinto Ranger District where these climbing areas lie. The Idyllwild Climbers Alliance is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) corporation based in Idyllwild, California.

Mission Statement

The Idyllwild Climbers Alliance is dedicated to preserve, protect and enhance the environment and climbing experience in the San Jacinto mountains through conservation, stewardship and education of all who come to experience the unique, historic values of the area. We strive to maintain productive relationships with land managers and promote climbing practices that are consistent with the history of climbing in these mountains.

The Idyllwild Climbers Alliance (ICA) supports involvement of any person who wishes to assist in achieving our mission of climber advocacy and stewardship, including all genders, ethnicities and backgrounds. The ICA maintains a zero tolerance policy of discrimination or harassment of any kind.
