The Idyllwild Climbers Alliance is oftentimes seeking individuals with specific skill sets in our organizational and operational structure that will help us to achieve our mission. If you are such a person, or know of someone who would have such interest, please contact us by email with an inquiry. Below are current opportunities, and we are always interested in suggestions for ways to support our efforts.
Public Outreach Specialist
The ICA is seeking a motivated individual to serve a volunteer internship in the role of managing communications with constituents, supporters, and those who have an interest in the ICA.
Qualifications:
- Experience with social media (Facebook, Instagram, others), Mailchimp, email marketing.
- Experience with Google analytics, Workspace
- WordPress website management
- Significant rock climbing experience, and ability to communicate in language familiar to experienced climbers
- Good familiarity with Tahquitz & Suicide Rock climbing
- Southwest US resident (ability for periodic in person meetings)
- Solid communication skills, responsiveness.
Compensation:
This is a volunteer/internship position.
Accountancy Specialist
The ICA is seeking a motivated individual to serve as a volunteer resource for matters related to finance and accounting.
Qualifications:
- CPA preferred. Significant bookkeeping experience considered.
- Background in accounting for non-profit organizations.
- Knowledge of Federal and California accountancy and non-profit organization reporting regulations.
Compensation:
This is a volunteer position.
