Projects
Suicide Rock trail, downed trees, Spring 2025
Wind events during the 2024-25 winter brought down several large trees that blocked sections of the Suicide Rock climbers trail. Members of the ICA in conjunction with USFS trail crew workers Tanya Pino and Kevin Cadieux did significant cutting with manual crosscut saws to regain passage on these trails. A particularly huge, notorious tree located near the start of the trail had fallen across the trail over 10 years ago, and took significant cutting and hauling effort to remove.

Graffiti Removal, Tahquitz Rock
This graffiti was located at the base of the North Face of Tahquitz Rock (near ‘El Whampo’). It had been there for a few years before removal occurred, requiring hauling of water from the creek below, numerous tools, a biodegradable graffiti remover solution, and a lot of scrubbing.
