No Idyll Hands!
Climber Stewardship Day
Saturday, June 13 2026
Planning is well underway for the upcoming No Idyll Hands- Climber Stewardship Day– lots of great projects and goodies are in store!
Service Projects
Trail work: The ‘winter’ was nearly non-existent, so trails are generally in pretty good shape, though there is a bit of cleanup to be done in some places.
Graffiti: There’s some tagging that has occurred on some signs en route to the Suicide Climbers Trail that needs removal.
Clark Jacobs Climbers Trail sign

This fabulous sign was created by a longtime Idyllwild local- Clark was an incredibly influential and peripatetic climber in Idyllwild for many decades, and there are hundreds of people who learned to climb and appreciate Tahquitz & Suicide rock under his tutelage. This will be placed on the Suicide Rock climbers trail, and will serve as a wonderful remembrance to an important Idyllwild climber.
We will also be installing foundational posts that will serve as a future informational kiosk along the Suicide Rock Climbers Trail.
Silent Auction
Once again, there will be a silent auction with lots of great gear from ICA Sponsors to help pad your kit- all proceeds will go to the Idyllwild Climbers Alliance. This is our primary fundraiser through the year, so get a killer deal on new gear, and help out the ICA at the same time. Here’s some of the latest gear to be had:

And more to come!!!
Gear Swap
No doubt you’ve got a bunch of outdoor, climbing or camping gear laying around that needs a new home- bring it to the Gear Swap, and sell or trade it for something you really need! This is a new activity for our yearly event, so there is no cost to swap (though a donation would be quite welcome). This event will be open to the town of Idyllwild, so there should be good traffic.

We will follow up a couple of weeks prior to the event with logistical information about what to bring, and detailed scheduling. Be sure to make a note about your interest in space at the Gear Swap- we’ll save you a spot!
Psyched to see you there!
